Havant and Waterlooville Football Club can confirm that Defender, Matthew Hayden, has returned to parent Club Brighton and Hove Albion following the expiration of his loan with the Hawks.

Matty signed for the Hawks in mid-August and made his debut for the club in our 1-0 win away at Evesham United. He was instantly a regular feature in the Hawks’ line-up and saw his loan extended at the end of the initial month after impressing with performances. Despite our best efforts, Brighton & Hove Albion were unable to allow us to further extend Matthew’s loan due to their own needs with player availability. We wish to place on record our thanks to Brighton & Hove Albion for working with us over the course of Matty’s time with us.
