Westleigh Park is set to host a Celebrity Charity Football Match in conjunction with Sellebrity Soccer on Sunday 13th July, KO 15:00.
Sellebrity Soccer are a company who organise and host Celebrity Charity Football Matches across the UK raising money for a whole host of charitable causes! The match at Westleigh Park will see money being raised for Sophie’s Legacy and Pompey in the Community.
Sophie’s Legacy was created in memorial of Sophie Fairall and the legacy of change she wanted to create. Sophie had just turned 9 when she was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer called Rhabdomyosarcomain September 2020. During her treatment, she endured 9 rounds of intense chemotherapy and 7 weeks of radiotherapy. Sophie never managed to get into remission and in June 2021, after only eight weeks on a programme of maintenance chemotherapy, she relapsed. With no treatment options left Sophie passed away aged 10, in September 2021, just 1 year after her diagnosis.
Sophie wanted the following things changed and this will be her legacy in memory of a remarkable young girl who touched so many lives:
1. Play specialist 7 days a week in hospitals
2. Improvements to food for children in hospital
3. For parents to be fed when staying with their child
4. For GP’s, nurses and health professionals to be trained in childhood cancer
5. To increase the funds (currently 3%) in childhood cancer research
Pompey in the Community (PITC) is an award-winning charity which harnesses the motivational power of Portsmouth Football Club to promote education, healthy living, sporting participation and achievement among vulnerable and disadvantaged people of all ages.

General Admission Tickets have been priced at £12 (plus booking fee) with a VIP Meet & Greet Package available for £40 (plus booking fee) with all Tickets being sold through Eventbrite. Tickets are one price for all ages with Under 2’s admitted Free of charge.
The VIP Meet & Greet Package will see the holder meet Celebrity players at 1pm before Turnstiles open for General Admission Ticketholders. The ticket will entitle the holder to meet a minimum of 10 celebrity players (no individual celebrity promised). Please note, this ticket does not include any VIP seats/Lounge access for this match.
