Swann, 18, joined Portsmouth from AFC Sudbury in June 2024 signing his first professional contract at Fratton Park. Reuben joined AFC Sudbury’s academy as a first-year student following his release from Colchester United Academy and transitioned to central midfield having previously played at centre back whilst at Colchester. In his first year, he played a key role in AFC Sudbury’s Suffolk FA U18 Cup victory scoring twice in the final in a 5-1 win against Needham Market Academy. Reuben made his AFC Sudbury first team debut in the last game of the 2022/23 away at Great Wakering F.C.

When it was announced he signed for Pompey Reuben spoke on his game “I like to attack but can play anywhere in midfield. I want to keep developing my game and improving as a footballer, which I believe I can do here.”

Reuben now joins the Hawks on loan as the latest addition to Shaun North’s squad and we look forward to welcoming him to Westleigh Park.
