A first half free kick from Olly Pendlebury gave a half time lead to the Hawks. 3 more goals from Seager, Kealy and Maloney in the second half ensured the first home win for the Hawks since the 25th January.

2 minutes in Sholing had a big opportunity. The referee deemed that there was a back pass to Ben Dudzinski, but he redeemed himself by rushing out and saving the shot from Michael Folivi.

The Hawks’ first effort on goal came after 7 minutes, a gracefully clipped ball in by Nigel Atangana met the head of the oncoming Alfy Whittingham who was kept out by a fine save from Sholing goalkeeper Pat Nash.

Havant & Waterlooville put the pressure on Sholing with two efforts outside the box coming from Ryan Seager narrowly missing the goal on both occasions.

After forty-one minutes the Hawks had the lead. A free kick 25 yards out was struck beautifully by Olly Pendlebury over the wall and into the back of the net to notch his first goal for the club!

HALF TIME: HAVANT AND WATERLOOVILLE 1-0 SHOLING

After fifty minutes the Hawks doubled the lead! Devonte Stanley won the ball back midway inside the Sholing half, he played the ball inside to Alfy Whittingham who picked out Seager on the edge of the box who cut back onto his right foot and placed the ball in the bottom right-hand corner.

On the sixty-ninth minute mark Havant found a third. A long ball toward Kealy was brought down well. Callum then took on his man, cutting inside onto his left foot and perfectly curling the ball in off the post beating Nash in net.

Just 5 minutes later the Hawks found a fourth after seventy-four minutes. Ryan Seager won the ball on the half-way line then proceeded to switch the play out to Anderson on the right. Anderson then found Leon Maloney who took a touch out of his feet and struck the ball into the side netting, there was absolutely no way anyone could stop it!

Sholing managed to pull one back a corner came in which Dudzinski managed to punch away only as far as Romeo Akinola whose volley took a nick off Folivi on the way through and into the goal.

With the game all wrapped up there was one final happening. Deep into added time Folivi received his marching orders for a second bookable offence, adding further misery to the visiting side’s afternoon
