3-3

The Hawks thought they had taken an early lead when Brendan Willson rose highest to head the ball into the path of Harvey Bradbury, who finished neatly from close range. However, celebrations were cut short as the assistant’s flag was raised for offside.

Uxbridge took the lead against the run of play shortly after. A swift counter saw Keita find space inside the box before slotting past Ferdinand to make it 1-0 to the visitors.

The Hawks were handed a golden opportunity to level the game midway through the half when Owusu was brought down in the area, but Bradbury blazed his penalty well over the bar to the disbelief of the home supporters.

The hosts continued to press for an equaliser, Laidlaw cut inside and unleashed a powerful effort that forced Shala into a fine save, tipping the ball over the crossbar.

Despite enjoying long spells of possession, the Hawks struggled to carve out clear-cut chances, while Uxbridge remained compact and disciplined at the back. The visitors went into the interval ahead thanks to Keita’s strike—their only real opportunity of the half.

HALF TIME: HAVANT AND WATERLOOVILLE 0-1 UXBRIDGE

The Hawks started the second half with purpose. Reuben Austin whipped in a dangerous delivery that found Bradbury diving to meet it, but his header drifted narrowly wide.

The equaliser finally came on the hour mark when Leon Maloney produced a sublime cross from the right, and Bradbury rose highest to beat Laurie Shala to the ball, nodding home to bring the Hawks level at 1–1.

However, just as momentum swung in Havant’s favour, they were undone by their own errors. Sloppy play from a Hawks free kick gifted Uxbridge a counterattack, finished clinically by Moore to restore the visitors’ lead.

Uxbridge extended their advantage as Nwachuku bundled the ball over the line from close range, making it 3–1 and giving the away side a two-goal cushion.

The Hawks refused to give up, Ryan Seager produced a moment of brilliance to pull one back — a spectacular overhead kick that flew into the top corner and gave the Hawks renewed hope.

Moments later, goalkeeper Lorenz Ferdinand produced an excellent save to keep his side in it, tipping a well-struck Bocarro free kick onto the woodwork before the defence cleared the danger.

From a late corner, the ball dropped into a crowded six-yard box, and amid the scramble, Ryan Seager somehow forced it over the line to complete a remarkable comeback and rescue a well-deserved draw.

After a rollercoaster of a game, the Hawks showed real fight and determination to claim a late point, which at one point didn’t look possible. Next up for the Hawks will be the visit of Hanwell Town on Wednesday night.
