A Fantastic Hawks Performance in Front of a Buzzing Home Crowd at Westleigh Park.

A perfect start for the hosts as Seager slid the ball into Maloney, who found himself with time and space on the edge of the box. With composure, he fired a low-driven shot into the bottom corner to put the Hawks in front.

Gloucester looked to hit back immediately, but Dudzinski made a fantastic save to keep the visitors at bay, allowing the Hawks to clear the danger.

A well-worked move from back to front almost resulted in a second goal for the Hawks. Maloney picked out the run of Seager, who took an early strike, but his bending effort went just wide of the post.

The Hawks did double their lead soon after. Atangana won the ball on the edge of his own area, leading to a fast counterattack. The ball made its way out to Stanley, who drove forward and found Maloney. A precise pass to Seager allows him to hammer home from close range.

Devante Stanley fancied getting in on the scoring after finding himself in acres of space he unleashed a powerful long-range effort that rattles the crossbar, coming agonisingly close to making it three.

With a little over 20 minutes on the clock, Havant extended their lead as Atangana rose highest from a corner, meeting the ball with a strong header into the bottom corner. The Hawks are in dreamland!

A huge chance for a fourth came for the Hawks as Pendlebury spun his marker brilliantly after a delightful ball into the area, forcing a stunning save from Bell. Kealy pounces on the rebound, but his effort is deflected behind for a corner.

The hosts weren’t to be denied for long! Seager, on the turn, reacted sharply to grab his second of the half and cap off a dominant first 45 minutes for the Hawks.

HALF TIME: HAVANT AND WATERLOOVILLE 4-0 GLOUCESTER CITY

The Hawks maintained pressure throughout the second half, creating numerous opportunities to score. However, a combination of missed chances and a solid second half showing from the Gloucester goalkeeper kept them from extending their lead.

Despite their attacking efforts, the Hawks were unable to find the back of the net again. The closest the Hawks would come was in added time as Olly Pendlebury stepped up and crashed a freekick off the woodwork. Ryan Seager was quickest to the rebound and slotted home what would’ve been his hat-trick but a raised flag ruled the goal out for offside and cut the celebrations short

Nevertheless, their dominant first-half display had already secured the result, ensuring a well-earned victory and an important three points in the push for a play-off spot. Next up for the Hawks is an away trip to Marlow next Saturday.
