The boys played Southsea in the quarter finals of the cup today and won 2-4 away from home in an excellent win!!!! A great performance in a very tough match against a really good side, on to the next round!

08.03.25 – Under 16’s

Ahead of the Havant & Waterlooville First Team taking on Sholing, our Hawks Community Youth Under 16’s took to the pitch at Westleigh Park in a battling 1-1 draw which saw a late equaliser!

We are so proud of these lads. Unfortunately not the result we wanted and stops us from winning the A league, but take nothing away from the performance, domination with the opposition not managing a shot in the second half. Well done lads

22.02.25 – Under 8’s

What a day for our under 8’s as we were unbeaten in the first 4 games, make the semis but come up short losing to the winners. Well done all!

16.02.25 – Under 10’s

Words from Coach Chris Batchelor

Disappointing first half lads never really got going and where second best, but amazing turn around in attitude and overall performance to go and win the second half. The key now is consistency we know we can play like that second half but we need it for the whole game, well done to FF for winning parents player made a real difference playing cm a real complete midfielder performance in the second half and also well done to FF JB EB and AJ-S for coaches players couldn’t split them JB and EB inter link play was class and AJ-S and brilliant performance at CB and up top well done lads!

08.02.25 – Under 9’s

A few words from their Coach Freddie. K

U9s seal a well deserved win!

A great performance and solid win for the boys today. Lots of energy and encouragement towards each other. Great shape throughout and I asked for us to be more clinical and start shooting when the opportunity presents itself as we are a great passing team sometimes lacking that intent in front of goal. Today we lacked no such intent and scored bundles of goals whilst staying disciplined keeping our shape and still trying to play the right way. UP THE HAWKS!

02.02.25 – Under 14’s Sunday

Words from Gaffer Steve W.

A great 5-1 win for our Hawks Community Youth U14’s in the PYFL today!

I’m really proud of the lads today, despite a poor first half they really took responsibility second half. They knew and agreed the first half was Below their standards, then grabbed and destroyed the game second half. That shows character, they stood up, took responsibility and emptied their tanks . Their link up play, forward passing, transition, and energy was beautiful. I could’ve given 3 players player of the match. They really stood out and they had such a good game. Subs made a difference and gave us a different dynamic too

Well done all proved we have what it takes 🦅

25.01.25 – Waltham Wolves Eagles v Hawks Community Youth U16

A few words from the Boss, Rich. W

Boys started out the traps fast today.

We were playing some lovely crisp clean football for the first 25 minutes and pinned Waltham into their own half for large parts of the opening period

Our young Hawks Started to lose our way ever so slightly before HT, but we went in at the break goalless. On another day we could be going into HT at least 3-0 up but it wasn’t to be.

Second half started and the boys seemed to be struggling. A few tactical changes were made and the boys seemed to up their game a gear or two.

5 minutes later striker Chase Driscoll smashed to ball into net to make it 1-0. The cup game then become very eventful with the attacks coming from both teams.

Eventually on 80 minutes Waltham scored from a set piece to take the games to penalties with a score at the final whistle 1-1

Penalty shootout

Hawks GK Jamie Walker saved Waltham’s first pen with a great save with his feet.

Hawks player George Hilton slotted his home 1-0 Hawks

Hawks GK Jamie Walker then saved Waltham’s second pen with a fantastic save down to the GK left hand side.

Hawks player Archie Handley slotted his spot kick home to make it 2-0 hawks

Again hawks GK Jamie Walker guess the right way on the 3rd pen only to see the ball go wide of his right hand post.

Hawks 3rd and final pen went to Chase Driscol who slotted home to give out young hawks the quarter final victory.

Man of the match: Archie Handley

Goal Scorer: Chase Driscol

Match hero: GK Jamie Walker, great to see Jamie having the season on his life.

Congratulations boys, into the next round we go!
