Walking football is a non-contact version of football with no running, physical contact or heading thus enabling everyone to enjoy the game in a safe and healthy environment.  It offers significant benefits of improved physical and mental health, increased fitness, social interaction, and a sense of belonging while being a low-impact accessible activity suitable for all abilities.

The Hawks Walking Football Club started in 2014 with 5 members and has grown into a thriving club with approximately 70 members.  We host 3 men’s walking football sessions a week at Front Lawn Community Hub (Monday & Friday 9.30 -11am) and Havant & Waterlooville FC (Wednesday 6-7pm) and a women’s session on Friday evening (6-7pm) at Havant & Waterlooville FC together with regular social events. In addition, for those who enjoy competitive football, the club participates in and organises tournaments and matches with teams catering for those Over 50, Over 60, Over 65 and Over 70. The club has grown into a well-recognised and successful one which regularly wins trophies at tournaments hosted by the Hampshire FA or other clubs.

We also have a highly successful history of charity fund raising for the benefit of local charities including Havant & East Hants MIND, Off The Record, Rowans Hospice, Hannah’s Appeal. Additionally, we have been honoured to win a number of Club and individual awards presented by Havant Borough Sports Association over the years.

We welcome Men Over 50 and Women Over 40 and our current membership ranges from early 40’s through to late 70’s. If you are interested in learning more about the Club and /or Walking Football then feel free to contact George Ormandy (07850 311431) or email HawksWalkingFootball@outlook.com.
