We have been drawn to face Welling United away from home meaning the Hawks will have travelled away for every round of the Trophy so far.

The Hawks have seen victories on the road in both previous rounds. A 1-1 draw followed by a 5-4 shootout victory at Badgers Hill Stadium with Ben Dudzinski making a save on Frome Town’s 5th spot kick. This saw the Hawks progress from the Third Qualifying Round before being drawn to face Bristol Manor Farm in Round 1.

It was a similar outcome for the Hawks as the game finished 1-1 after 90 minutes but this time a 4-2 victory in the shootout as Manor Farm missed their first 2 spot kicks. The hosts first was cannoned off the crossbar before Dudzinski saved a second to ensure our progress into Round 2 where we will now face a third consecutive away trip this time against Step 2 opposition.

Welling United are entering the competition at this stage along with other Step 2 clubs. They currently sit 18th in the Vanarama National South having played 14, won 5, drawn 1 and lost 8.
