A group of 3 players have been appointed to the Leadership Team for the First Team. Goalkeeper Emily Paines, Midfielder Tia Hooper and Forward E-J May will be leading from the front as we look to better our 3rd placed finish in the SRWFL Division One South from last season.

E-J will wear the armband and be supported by Tia and Emily throughout the year.

Captain E-J May shared her thoughts on becoming captain “I’m extremely proud to be captain of this great group for the upcoming season. I’m looking forward to taking on the responsibility and using my experience to help the team. We have high ambitions as a club and I hope to help lead the team to success.”

Goalkeeper Emily Paines commented “It is an honour to be a part of this year’s leadership team alongside EJ and Tia. I am looking forward to bringing my experience to be able to help the players, staff and club have a successful season both on and off the pitch. Up the Hawks”

Midfielder Tia Hooper reflected on her role “It’s an honour to be part of the leadership team for the upcoming season. Helping to support my team mates on and off the pitch and help lead the way is a privilege. I can’t wait to start the season with a great group of teammates!”

Manager Chris Cooper also spoke on the leadership appointments saying “We are delighted to work alongside E-J, Emily and Tia as our leadership group for the 2024/25 season. All 3 of these players are experienced and possess different leadership qualities. Hopefully together we can spearhead the team and achieve our targets this season.”
