The Hawks will look to put recent form behind them when they travel to Essex to take on promotion-chasing Aveley on Easter Monday.
In their recent game against Worthing, the Hawks faced a tough challenge. Despite creating more chances, they fell behind when Worthing’s Oliver Pearce scored in the 11th minute. Despite the goal the Hawks were creating more chances, and finally found the breakthrough when Brendan Wilson equalized just before halftime. However, Worthing dominated the second half, with Tommy Willard, Pearce (from a penalty), Danny Cashman, and Finally Chadwick sealing a 5-1 victory.

Interim co-manager said after the game that: “We just switch off at crucial moments, and it costs us massively. 2nd, 4th, and 5th goal straight long balls, it’s glaringly obvious where the issue is there.
“The wheels have come off two games on the trot now so there’s obviously an issue there. It’s not the fitness levels but the concentration that is dropping off.”
Cliff gave an update on some players who have been unavailable recently: “Sean Spence has had a hamstring injury; he’s had it for about a month now. He was doing a bit of light work on Thursday and Friday.
“Alfy Whittingham got a knock on his coccyx at Dover, terrible bruising came out of it. It’s still stiff, he can’t run properly.
“James Roberts has picked up some sort of bug, so he wasn’t in the best place this morning, so he’s actually sick.”
The Opposition:
In their last fixture, Aveley performed an amazing comeback against Hemel Hempstead. Michael Folivi got the hosts in the lead within two minutes, and Michael Smith added another 15 minutes later.
However, a double from former Tudor Charlee Hughes, one in the first half and one in the second, got the Millers back on level terms. Eduino Vaz then found the Hemel net in the 60th minute, making the score 3-2.
The Tudors were not down and out yet though, with Josh Williams getting the hosts back on level terms in the 68th minute. But it was Charlee Hughes once again that broke Tudor’s hearts, netting the winner and completing his hattrick. The final score was 4-3 to Aveley.
Aveley has done extremely well in their maiden National League South campaign, currently
sitting in 7th in the hunt for their third successive promotion.
The Millers are one of the most informed teams in the league, winning 3 of their last 5 and scoring 8 goals along the way.
Former Hemel Hempstead man Charlee Hughes has been on fine form this season, scoring 12 goals so far this campaign.

Havant met Aveley for the first time this season when the Millers travelled to Westleigh Park.
Mohammadu Faal opened the scoring for the Hawks, but Eduino Vaz was able to equalise for the Millers. Harry Gibbs found the Hawks net to hand Aveley the lead before halftime.
In the second half, Charlee Hughes and Alex Hernandez both scored for Aveley to make the final score 4-1.
