Havant and Waterlooville Football Club are thrilled to announce the signing of Roarie Deacon, following his release from Maidstone United.

Roarie, a fan favourite at Westleigh Park, joins the Hawks after spending the last two seasons at The Stones.

The versatile 31-year-old can play almost everywhere across the pitch, but specialises as a winger and likes chipping in with goals and assists.

Having honed his skills at Arsenal Academy and later representing the England national team at youth level, Roarie has had spells at Stevenage, Sutton and Crawley.

He played more than 80 games for Maidstone and got back to fitness after suffering a long-term injury with the Hawks.

Upon rejoining, Roarie said: “I’m back and have unfinished business. I played with JC at Sutton and he was my captain, an unbelievable team mate. I wanted to come here and play with him as my manager and get success.

“This year I really want to stay fit and get that promotion.”

Roarie becomes our fifth signing of the season and joins Innocent, Janneh, Mehew and McNerney. If you would like to sponsor his shirt, email ellie@havantandwaterloovillefc.co.uk
