Experienced Defender Joe McNerney will lead the team out in 24/25 with Nigel Atangana named as Vice-Captain.

Joe joined the Hawks last summer having spent a large amount of his career with Woking. He featured regularly for the Hawks throughout the 23/24 Season, even captaining the team on several occasions. Joe has had the armband throughout Pre-Season and will continue that leadership through and into the new campaign.

Nigel returned to Westleigh Park having left Eastleigh at the end of the last campaign. Nigel has spent the vast majority of his career in Professional football and brings the knowledge and experience with him to form another integral part of our leadership team working in conjunction with not just Joe but other members of the squad.

Head Coach Shaun North spoke on the appointment of his Captaincy saying;

“Joe and Nigel are the nominated ones but hopefully everyone can take some part in that. We’ve got other strong people in the group as well and we hope that they all will take a lead in dealing with problems or whatever we have [come our way]”
